On April 30, Envirotech attended a networking event at Toronto’s brand new RBC WaterPark Place, Toronto’s first office building aiming to achieve LEED Platinum certification for Core and Shell.
The evening began with tours of the RBC WaterPark Place, followed by complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The evening was sponsored by Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and highlighted presentations about the newest and most sustainable buildings in Toronto and Southern Ontario. There was also a trade show exhibit of companies showcasing environmentally sustainable products and services.
Similar to Envirotech, with their Remanufactured Office Furniture, these companies believe that innovative, cost-effective solutions that benefit a greener office environment is the future of office design. To have a future, we must consider the health of our planet, the health of the tenants and employees working in the office buildings, and the health of our economy. Featured green building products and services exhibited at this event included air conditioning systems, energy saving lighting systems, waste and water management systems, and more.
The RBC WaterPark Place is the epitome of sustainable building design. It features a 7,500 square metre green roof, efficient lighting, a tunnel to the waterfront, natural light, and low-emitting building materials for optimal indoor air quality. It was an ideal venue for the CaGBC networking and learning event where attendees benefited from shared lessons learned, and examples, of green office building designs.
Envirotech Office Systems goal is to offer workplace office furniture solutions designed for the modern sustainable office environment. Remanufactured workstations are cost effective, have a lower negative impact on the environment compared to new manufacturing, and offer various configurations to fit into a variety of office design spaces for improved space saving and ergonomics.
